Your word is beautiful and true
All You’ve said can be fully trusted
But the world says to run, to abandon hope
But I will stand by faith in the wisdom of Your word

Not my ways, or my thoughts, not my wisdom, but Yours

Your work in Christ is beautiful and true
All You’ve done can be fully trusted
But my flesh says do more, to work harder
But I will rest by faith in the finished work of Christ

Not my works, or my goodness, not my blood, sweat, and tears, but Yours

Your kingdom is beautiful and true
Soon on earth as it is in Heaven
But the siren call I hear is seek first my will
But I will run by faith in the power of your Spirit

Not my name, not my fame, not my kingdom, but Yours

Your Kingdom come, Your will be done
All things made new, through the Father’s Word
Your Kingdom come, Your will be done
All things made new, through the reigning Son
Your Kingdom come, Your will be done
All things made new, through the Spirit’s power

Come, Holy Spirit, Creator blest,
And in our hearts take up Thy rest
Come with Thy grace and heavenly aid
To fill our hearts which Thou hast made,
To fill our hearts which Thou hast made.

O Comforter, to Thee we cry,
Thou heavenly gift of God most high;
Thou fount of life, and fire of love,
And sweet anointing from above,
And sweet anointing from above.

Be not afraid, where you go there I am with you,
Be not afraid, where you go there I am with you.

Come Holy Spirit, through Thee alone,
Know we the Father and the Son;
Be this our firm unchanging creed,
That Thou dost from them both proceed,
That Thou dost from them both proceed.

Praise we the Lord, Father and Son,
And Holy Spirit with them one;
And may the Son on us bestow
All gifts that from the Spirit flow,
All gifts that from the Spirit flow.

Prayer of Confession

God of Grace, we have failed in our calling to be your holy people, a people set apart for your purposes. We live more in apathy than in passion and in hope. We are moved more by private ambition than by justice in the world. We dream more of privilege and present benefits than of your coming kingdom. We depend upon our own strength rather than relying wholly on your grace. By your Holy Spirit, revive us and reshape us in your image. Amen.

Declaration Of Forgiveness: Ezekiel 37:14

14 I will put my Spirit within you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I am the Lord; I have spoken, and I will do it, declares the Lord.”

Praise God from whom all blessings flow
Praise Him all creatures here below
Praise Him above ye heavenly hosts
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost

Luke 24:44-53

44 Then he said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” 45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, 46 and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, 47 and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things. 49 And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”
50 And he led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them. 51 While he blessed them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven. 52 And they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, 53 and were continually in the temple blessing God.

O great God of highest heaven, occupy my lowly heart
Own it all and reign supreme, conquer every rebel power
Let no vice or sin remain, that resists Your holy war
You have loved and purchased me, make me Yours forevermore

I was blinded by my sin, had no ears to hear Your voice
Did not know Your love within, had no taste for heaven’s joys
Then Your Spirit gave me life, opened up Your Word to me
Through the gospel of Your Son, gave me endless hope and peace

Help me now to live a life that’s dependent on Your grace
Keep my heart and guard my soul, from the evils that I face
You are worthy to be praised, with my every thought and deed
O great God of highest heaven, glorify Your name through me
