WORSHIP AT NEW CITY
We believe public worship is a meeting between our Triune God and His chosen people.
New City gathers every Sunday morning at 10am for public corporate worship, where God blesses us through His ordinary means of grace: the preaching of the Word, administration of the sacraments, and prayer.
New City is committed to Reformed worship, with a liturgy structured as a dialogue with our covenant God. The central message of our service is the proclamation of the person and work of Jesus Christ, our Mediator, trusting the Holy Spirit to work through the Word to turn our hearts toward God. Sermons are expositions of books of the Bible, and our worship service typically lasts about 75 minutes, including the weekly celebration of the Lord’s Supper.
Our hymnody draws from biblically-saturated texts and diverse musical aesthetics, used to foster the praise of God’s people. Through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs—from enduring traditions to modern expressions—we respond to God’s grace and truth with joy, reverence, and awe, glorifying the Lord and uniting His people in a shared proclamation of faith and devotion.
