New City is a future-facing church desirous for the next generation to know and walk with God. “The promise is for you and your children” (Acts 2:39). New City is committed to the spiritual growth of families and their children. We seek to build up the children of New City by inviting families to bring their children to participate in our corporate worship, providing a fun and strong kids’ ministry that offers rich Christian education and ministering to the needs of families and children in our community.
All classes and activities involving children are taught and/or supervised by teens or adults who have completed our Child Protection Policy Standards.
What do New City Kids Do?
+ NURSERY
The New City Nursery is open to infants through children up to 36 months.
+ KIDS' BIBLE TIME
During our Sunday worship service, our preschool-aged children are encouraged to worship alongside their families. Alternatively, they can attend KBT as they transition into the Sancutary. In KBT they are taught lessons from the Teach Me to Worship curriculum. This curriculum studies various elements of our liturgy and liturgical seasons.
+ SUNDAY SCHOOL
On Sunday mornings before our worship service, we offer a catechism class for children in Kindergarten through 5th Grade. We use the Great Commission Publications’ First Catechism: Teaching Children Bible Truths. Each child will be given a copy of the booklet to bring to class and then back home, in order to work together with their families to memorize each question and answer together. Monthly prizes are awarded for memorization!
