The Lord's Prayer (New City Kids)

In the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, with quarantines in place, and over two months of “doing church online,” New City was in need of something fresh for our online liturgy.

We were not seeking freshness for the sake of novelty, but rather for the sake of capturing hearts and minds, and helping us land in a fresh posture for worship. Nothing better than God’s Word–actually Jesus’ words–modelling the spiritual discipline of prayer for us, and giving us words to express ourselves in the Father’s will.

Another layer of freshness was being able to see New City’s younger covenant-members’ faces, who led us in this great time of prayer, and provided us a much needed sense of community.
